Post subject: Corn snake hatchling housing.

We've just acquired two of the darlingest corn snake hatchlings, Blood
spent hours custom building a viv. and we put them in their new home,
to find out that my carolina corn, sally-essfa, can escape into His
anery corn's enclosure (no name yet) and they snuggled happily,but we
were wondering "is it ok to house the two together for the next year?"
after that they'll get seperate larger vivs anyway...but it was a
thought!! and at 9wks they really are darling!!!
any info is appreciated and we would be very grateful...

Generally, not a good idea. Especially with younger corns,
cannibalism is possible.

Keeping multiple snakes in 1 enclosure can cause stress, Snakes, under the
right circumstances will be cannibalistic, even of the same species. They
share bacteria, sicknesses, hides, heat sources, etc.When 1 regurges, which
one was it?

I keep all my hachlings together. Never had a problem yet but there is the
posability of problems.
